EDUCATION SCHEME

The only way to bridge the literacy gap in every society is by investing in Education. At ANDY YOUNG FOUNDATION, we believe that Education is the fastest way for any society to progress.

As our way of giving back to the society, we provide scholarships for indigent students, providing access to learning materials in grossly under developed, underserved and unserved areas, as well as constructing schools and other learning materials in underserved areas.

We’ve also made significant progress in the following areas; payment of school fees for indigent students organizing competitions for students to test their intellectual capabilities, supporting schools in building infrastructures, organizing awareness programs and seminars for students, as well as providing the basic technological equipment needed to enhance learning.

As a foundation committed to helping indigent students achieve their educational goals we will always go the extra mile to see that this goal is achieved. However, we cannot do this alone, we still need all of the goodwill we can get in order to help more people.

EMPOWERMENT SCHEME

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women are the backbone of every society and at Andy Young Foundation, we look to empower as one many women as possible, especially the indigent and uneducated ones amongst them with basic resources to be able to care and cater for their immediate families. Empowering them, will ensure that they’re able to care for their children and by effect, ensure a steady decline in incidents of child hunger across these communities.

Over the last few years, we’ve been able to reach out to indigent women across the south east through our women empowerment programs. The empowerment of women in Mgbagbu-Owa community in Ezeagu Local Government area of Enugu state is the most recent of them. We were able to give out thirty thousand naira each to 116 women of the community to support themselves and their businesses in order to earn a livelihood for themselves and their families.

Women Empowerment will always be very important to us at THE ANDY YOUNG FOUNDATION as we believe that empowering women will ensure the sustenance of any society’s future.

 YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

The youths are the backbone upon which any great society is built. Proper engagement and empowerment of youths will significantly increase productivity while similarly reducing the rate of violent crimes within communities. That is why Andy Young Foundation prioritizes the empowerment of young people through, scholarship programs, tech skill workshops as well as vocational training.

Over the last couple of years, we’ve empowered and inspired youths to play active roles in the society by giving them the necessary skills to become better individuals contributing to society’s development.

Some of these empowerment outreaches include but not limited to the following;

Empowerment of youths with tricycles, motorcycles and Garri processing machines to Sustain themselves.

We also empower youths with technological skills to be become valuable to themselves and the society.

We also empower persons with disability with jobs, skills, tools and finances.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

The growth of any society depends greatly on its ability to unite as a community and attempt to fight any problems they are faced with. Andy Young Foundation recognizes this fact and that’s why they look for ways to collaborate with relevant stakeholders of rural communities towards development and/or bringing innovations .

Through our rural community development programs we try to give back to our communities by way of undertaking community development projects such as pipe borne water, construction of roads, construction of school and hospitals among others.

In the last few years we’ve made significant progress in the area of rural community development projects. One of such landmark achievement is the construction of 1.6km ndiagu/Enugu /Amakpu road Umudim – Mgbagbu owa  community in Ezeagu Local Government area of Enugu state which was commissioned by the governor of Enugu state.

We will always be committed to the development of our communities and we will continue to do our best towards achieving that and we know we can achieve better communities.

ORPHANAGE HOMES

Every child deserves all the love, care and protection they can get in order for them to grow into responsible adults. However, not all of have the opportunity of growing up under such conditions.

Homelessness and child hunger are at the top of the list of cruel conditions that some children have to face in their early years on earth.

Children who are left in the orphanages are increasing by the day. Many children are on the streets because they have been abandoned by their families or sent to different places to earn a living because of their family’s intense poverty. Some children also run away from home due to dysfunctional homes or physical or mental abuse or even sexual abuse. At ANDY YOUNG FOUNDATION, we try to take as many children off the street by taking care of them and putting them in foster homes to grow and have a family as other children have. We also assist orphanage homes to care for homeless children by donating relief materials to them such as food and learning materials.
